A Valentine's Day in Portugal

Dear Reader,
Phew! We made it.
We MADE IT.
To Portugal.
The two three of us!
With visas and health certificates and whatever we could fit into a few bags!
Last Tuesday I landed in Boston intent on getting my husband Doug.
He stayed in the U.S. while I got our dog to Portugal by ship in January.
We reunited in Haverhill, Massachusetts (pronounced Hay-ver-rill - not Havre-hill) in front of his niece’s apartment on February 6th.
It was a good kiss.
Had dinner with his family.
Took a train together to Boston the next day and a Subway ride to the Portuguese consulate in Boston.
GOT OUR VISAS!
