How wonderful! Thanks for the heads up. Having read Michener's Centennial long ago, there is a strand of grief when a brave strand of geese pass cheering with that inspirational calling each other on. It is a prayer of survivance and Earth love. They used to darken the whole sky.
The first time Charley and I saw the snow geese migration last spring, we were astounded. We sat in the truck in front of the church for 20 minutes, just watching them fly over. Counted 25 birds or more in 35 "v's" before we gave up trying to count.
I love seeing (and hearing! It’s one of my favourite winter sounds) geese fly over, there’s something so magical about it ✨
